It's been awhile since I last posted because there really isn't much new to say. We still don't know details of our upcoming move...as soon as we do we will let everyone know! The twins started baseball/softball a few Saturday's ago so I'm posting a few pictures from that. Kaitlyn's team are the Purple Fighters and Kenton's are the Braves. Ethan continues to keep us entertained! I've posted a picture of him wearing my sunglasses - he likes to either wear mine or Ryan's which is pretty funny! During bedtime prayers when we get to the "please bless grandmas and grandpas, aunt and uncles, etc, etc" part he always wants me to add "Kenton, Kaitlyn, Lovel, Lightning McQueen, Mater, and dinosaur" (a stuffed dog that for some reason he thinks is a dinosaur and can now not sleep without!) And usually in that order:) What would we do without him?!?

Brett Matthew

For Future Reference

This post is for sometime in the future when we are back in the US wondering why we didn't explore Singapore more on the weekends...

Ethan is a little fireball of energy and makes it close to impossible to take him anywhere and enjoy it. The twins whine about being tired and hungry making it all the more fun.

Just for future reference!

The Greatest Job In The World

If only we would have known about this in time to enter....! I'm copying below an e-mail that is floating around our neighborhood. A teacher at SAS entered into a contest to go to Australia and live on an island for a few months in exchange for blogging about his experience there. It's a tourism thing. Even if you don't vote for him his entry video is worth seeing!!

"My awesome friend and colleague, Greg Reynen, has made it into the TOP 50 applicants for The Best Job in the World! Please help me support him by following the link below and voting for him. You can vote once every 24 hours with each of your email addresses (2 emails = 2 votes per day). Don’t forget to “confirm your vote” in the email Queensland Tourism sends you.

It's 3:30pm...do you know where your children are?!?

My sister Katie found that she had three little "helpers" painting her bathroom a few weeks ago!

Ryan was recently in Vietnam and took some pictures. The first one below is of a meat seller - notice the lack of ice or refrigeration. Concerning the rest of the pictures - the next time you are tempted to complain about your car or the cost of gasoline consider that we are blessed to even own cars!!! This is not an anomaly that is found only in Vietnam. Bicycles and motorcycles are used around the world as a primary source of transportation.

Meat Seller in Vietnam market

Man recycling corrugated cardboard in China via bicycle.

Take a look at all the electrical wires!

Masses and masses of people - most on motorcycle - in Vietnam.

This mother has her boy "seat belted" to her back.

What a Sam's Club run would look like.

The woman is on her way home after a day of marketing and running errands.

Either a recycler or a trash collector.

Toddlers and babies are also carried on motorcycle.

If you look real close you will notice that this man has two children on board - one in the front and one in the back.
Bicycles are also commonly used to tote things around.

A produce cart.

Or produce can be carried via bicycle.

A family outing and a vendor of some sorts with her bicycle.

This man is carrying Styrofoam containers on the back of his motorcycle.

This man is carrying stools.
Even landscapers use bicycles and motorcycles to tote their wares.

This is what carpooling would look like.
