Man recycling corrugated cardboard in China via bicycle.Sunday, March 1, 2009
Ryan was recently in Vietnam and took some pictures. The first one below is of a meat seller - notice the lack of ice or refrigeration. Concerning the rest of the pictures - the next time you are tempted to complain about your car or the cost of gasoline consider that we are blessed to even own cars!!! This is not an anomaly that is found only in Vietnam. Bicycles and motorcycles are used around the world as a primary source of transportation.

Take a look at all the electrical wires!
Masses and masses of people - most on motorcycle - in Vietnam.
This mother has her boy "seat belted" to her back.
What a Sam's Club run would look like.
The woman is on her way home after a day of marketing and running errands.
Either a recycler or a trash collector.

Boy do these pictures bring back memories when we adopted James, Jesse, and Joy. We were there in 1999 & 2002 so I bet it has exploded with growth. We really enjoyed out time there. A little envious of you Ryan as we would love to go back there someday.
If that is carpooling, I would not carpool!
